Scientific Advisory Board

Tasks of the Scientific Advisory Board:

  • Provide strategic recommendations – advice on the development of the journal (directions, topics, interdisciplinarity); recommendations on increasing international visibility; consultations on compliance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, DOAJ, Scopus, WoS, etc.

  • Perform an expert and scientific function – assess the scientific level of the journal as a whole, not individual manuscripts; provide recommendations on current scientific trends; provide consultations on the formation of special issues.

  • Perform a reputational and image role – increase the authority of the journal; represent the journal in scientific networks; promote the involvement of foreign authors and reviewers.

  • Provide ethical and political consultations – provide advice on editorial ethics, COPE practices; advise in difficult or conflict situations (at the request of the editorial board); provide recommendations on updating the editorial policy.

  • Assess the quality of journal management – conduct periodic consultative evaluations of the journal’s activities; provide recommendations for improving editorial procedures; analyze the compliance of declared policies with real practice.
