Open Access Policy

The journal Biota. Human. Technology adheres to the principles of open access, ensuring free and unrestricted access to its entire content without requiring registration or a subscription. Users can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and reference the full texts of articles in the journal without prior permission from the authors or the publisher. The dissemination of materials is carried out in accordance with the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY) license.

It allows anyone to read, download, copy, distribute, print, index, use for software analysis, or apply for any other lawful purposes without financial, legal, or technical barriers, except those inseparable from access to the Internet itself.

Policy on the Dissemination of Preprints, Postprints, and Published Versions

The journal Biota. Human. Technology supports open access to scientific research and encourages authors to share their work to enhance its visibility and accessibility. Authors are allowed to upload any version of their article without an embargo period and store it in institutional or other repositories at their discretion. This policy regulates the public circulation of preprints, postprints, and official versions of articles, promoting open science principles through the dissemination of materials in open access.

Preprints

A preprint is the original version of a manuscript submitted by the author for consideration, which has not yet undergone peer review. Authors have the right to store preprints in any open repository, clearly indicating that this version has not been peer-reviewed.

Postprints

A postprint, or accepted manuscript, includes revisions made during the peer review process but before the article is officially formatted by the journal’s editorial team. Authors may share this version in open repositories and on academic platforms, provided they correctly cite the source, do not modify the uploaded file, and clearly indicate that this is not the final published version.

Published Versions

The final version of the article (version of record) is the officially published, editorially formatted work. Authors are encouraged to share this version in open repositories while ensuring proper citation of the journal and maintaining the original content of the file without alterations.

Policy Compliance and Sanctions

The journal monitors compliance with this policy. In case of violations, appropriate measures may be taken, including refusal to consider future submissions.
