Research ethics policy

Authors should ensure that the research they conduct is conducted in accordance with relevant internationally accepted guidelines (e.g., the Declaration of Helsinki for clinical trials, AERA Code of Ethics and BERA guidelines for Educational Research) and reflect this in the article submitted to Biota. Human. Technology. Before publication, editors should obtain assurances that all research has been approved by the appropriate body (e.g., research ethics committee, institutional review board), if one exists. If necessary, the editorial board should consult an independent ethics consultant.

In the text of the article, authors should display the following information:

Funding: Provide one of two statements: no external funding or details of a grant received. Make sure you spell the names of funding institutions correctly by checking them on an official resource. Mistakes can make it difficult to obtain funding in the future.

Ethical approval: This section is required to document the ethical approval of the study. For work with humans, indicate compliance with the Declaration of Helsinki and approval by an ethics committee. For animal studies, provide information about protocol approval. If ethical approval is not required, justify this or indicate “Not applicable”.

Informed Consent Statement: This section is required for studies involving human subjects. Confirm that consent was obtained from participants or explain its absence. This is especially important in cases where participants are identifiable - written consent for publication is required.

Data access: Describe where the data from your study can be found. Provide links to data archives. Even if no new data were created or there are access restrictions, this should be noted. For more information, see the following guidelines:
